Chaucey K. Bates of West Chester

Chauncey K. Bates, 2, of West Chester, died Wednesday, May 17, 1995, at Chester County Hospital, West Chester.

He was the husband of Mildred Russell Bates.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Frank and Hannah Wynn Bares. He lived in West Chester his entire life.

During World War II he was employed for Sun Ship Co., Chester. He was later employed as a steeplejack for the former Wind Turbin (sic) Co., West Chester. He was also employed for Wyeth Laboratories in the maintenance department, retiring in 1977.

He was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity, West Chester.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1720, West Chester. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, West Chester Lodge 908.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughter, Charlotte Robinson, of West Chester and Phyllis Anderson of West Chester; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20 at Founds Funeral Home Inc., High and Union Streets, West Chester.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery, West Goshen.
