"SUSANNAH HORNADAY dau of Ezekiel and Mary (Fall) Hornaday b 9-7-1825 near Plainfield, Ind d 5-30-1893 Danville. Married twice (1) by Elder James McVey in Plainfield, Hendricks Co 1-12-1843 RUFUS ISAAC TROTTER b 8-13-1814 Lee Co Va d Plainfield 5-25-1884. Both bur I.O.O.F cemetery Plainfield. Eight children. (2) 1890 Adam Downard of Danville. No children. Susannah and her brother, Smith Hornaday, visited their uncle, Mike Fall, in Iowa. When a young girl, she was quite ill with an abcess at the base of her brain. Her uncle, Dr. John Fall, of Ohio is credited with saving her life. In womanhood she was short and large, had refinement and a brilliant mind; was very active in her church and community." (From Curtis, Grace Fall.
