Obituary: "Agnes Lavena (Strohecker) Paul, 76, died yesterday at four o'clock at the home of her son, Morell, in Lavelle, PA. She had been ill for the past three months and death was due to complications incident to old age.
Mrs. Paul was born in the Mahantonga Valley, on November 15, 1866, daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah, nee Troutman Strohecker. While still a young girl, she moved with her family to Lavelle, where she spent the remaining of her life. Her husband, the late Henry Paul, died at Lavelle 14 years ago.
Mrs. Paul was a Charter member of Christ Evangelical Church at Lavelle, and was one of that community's most highly respected women. To survive are four daughters, Mrs. Charles Wolfgang, of Philadelphia; Mrs. George Lochen, of Nicholson, PA; Mrs. Algernon Weaver, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Clayton Weikel, of Helfenstein, and five sons; Samuel of Scranton, PA; Clarence, Joseph, Raymond, and Morell, of Lavelle, PA.
Three sisters, Mrs. Savilla Paul, Mrs. John Snyder, and Mrs. Stella Enterline, all of Lavelle, Schuykill County, PA, also survive as do 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Paul will be buried on 5th. June (Saturday), with services at 1:30 from the home of her son, Joseph. Further services will be held in Christ Church at 2:00 o'clock and interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Lavelle, Schuykill County, PA. Rev. James Tice, pastor of Christ Evangelical Church will officiate.
