Dora Mae Collom
Humrick - Dora Mae Collom, 94, of Humrick, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 30, 1994) at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 14, 1899, in Humrick, the daughter of David and Lydia Bostwick Loveall. She married Moses A. Collom Aug. 31, 1919. He died Feb. 27, 1963.
Surviving: two sons, Vernon (Irene) Collom and Dale (Mary Lou) Collom, both of Ridge Farm; five daughters, Vivian (Russell) Voyles of Ridge Farm, Inez Lyday and Shirley (Tom) Razmus, both of Georgetown, Lois (Elza) McNulty of Chrisman, Iretta (Orville) Bell of Westville; 29 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also preceding her was one son, Vernon Dean Collom, two daughters, Ruth Woods and Letha Irene Collom, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great grandchild, five brothers and two sisters.
She attended the Ridge Farm and Olivet Church of the Nazarene after the fire destroyed the Humrick Friends Church. She loved her family and doing special things for them, especially cooking and babysitting.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown; Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the funeral home in Georgetown; Burial: Yankee Point Cemetery at Ridge Farm; Officiating: Rev. Larry Hopkins.
