Mrs. Linda Kay Welton, 33, 1202 W. Budlong St. died at 7:14 a.m. today at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin. She was critically injured in a one car accident May 11 west of Carthage on Highway 96.
Born Feb. 7, 1945 in Joplin she was the daughter a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haines, 822 Seneca Ave. Joplin. She had resided in Carthage since her marriage to Paul E. Welton July 13, 1962, in Carthage. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are two daughters, Debra K. Welton, 14, and Kemberlee L. Welton, 9, a son Paul E. Welton Jr., 12, all of the home; a sister Mrs. Janice Tickel, Cherokee, Kan., and a brother Jack Haines, Santa Anna, Calif. Her mother-in-law is Mrs. Pearl Welton, 913 Valley St.
Services were conducted this afternoon at The Knell Mortuary. Bob Lyttle officiated. Burial was in Park Cemetery.
