Truman Sylvester Young was the first child of Hilary Sylvester Young and Ollie Luvene Pittman Young. He had 5 brothers and 1 sister. He married Maude Lora Tompkins of Byrdstown Tn. They had 8 children, 4 died young, Collene, Wilma, Ruth and Vivian. The other 4 are Helen Louise Young Daniel, Vaughn Cecil (Joe) Young, Ina Geraldine (Geri)Young Thacther and Patricia Ann Young Culp. After Maudes death, Truman married Mildred Dehart and had another child, Patricia Ann Young Rice. Patricia died at the age of 22 from Lukemia, she is buried at the Emory Heights Cemetery in Harriman, Tn. Mildred died Sept.2,2001 and is buried in Chattanooga, Tn. Maude died Nov.1,1958 in New Castle In. and is buried in the South Mound Cemetery next to her parents. It's very strange but Truman's youngest daughter from his marriage to Maude and his only daughter from his marriage to Mildred were both named Patricia Ann.
