Prospect Valley section
J. M. Allen received the sad news of the death of his son Milton V. Allen, of Richford, which occurred Friday night. He, with others, were on a hay mow. He had just cautioned his son to be careful and not fall, when he fell himself, a distance of about twenty foot, injuring him so badly that he lived but a few hours. Funeral services were held on Monday. Those from this place who survived were his father, J. M. Allen and his brother, Luke J. Allen, and his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Shrauger and Mrs. G. F. Van Etten.
