St. Clair, Nov. 19--Charles Humphrey Barringer, 76, who has lived in St. Clair Township all his life, died Wednesday at his home, 1533 South riverside avenue, after an illness of several years.
Mr. Barringer was born March 5, 1877 and married Florence Yax in January, 1902. He was a retired contractor.
He is survived by his widow; a son, Benjamin, of Marysville; a sister, Mrs. Roy Bezenah, Port Huron; three brothers, Louis, of Toledo; Hazen, Dearborn, and Henry, of California, and two grandchildren, Gerald and Judy Ann Barringer, Marysville.
Remains are at the T. r. Bower funeral home. funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal church, with Rev. Howard C. Rutenbar, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
