Isaac Kulp, 83, died unexpectedly Monday, November 8, 2010, at Goshen General Hospital where he had been since Thursday.
He was born July 29, 1927, in Goshen, to Christian and Emma Elizabeth (Blosser) Kulp.
He married June A. Ryman on July 13, 1946 in Goshen. She passed July 5, 2002. On June 30, 2003 he married Dorothy (Drake) Maust in Goshen. She passed away August 21, 2010.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. Byler of Goshen; a son, Stephen A. (Pauline) Kulp of El Mirage, Arizona; two step-daughters, Dee L. (Brad) Strycker of Goshen and D. Lynn (Richard) Roderick of Madison, Maine; two step-sons, Dale Lee (Sue) Maust of Wakarusa and Dean LeRoy (Linda) Maust of Ocilla, Georgia.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren; 26 step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-granddaughters; sister, Emma Martin of Nappanee; and brother, Christian Kulp of Wakarusa.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Samuel, Joseph, and Ernest Kulp; and sisters, Susan and Mary Kulp, Barbara Kilmer and Martha King.
A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Kulp worked at Goshen Manufacturing and Steury Boat before retiring from Crown International in 1991.
Mr. Kulp did his Civilian Public Service in the late 1940's in California and along the east coast. He was a member of the Little Pine Church of the Brethren.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 11, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
An 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Little Pine Church of the Brethren with Pastor John McFarland and nephew, Rev. Dale Kulp officiating.
Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorials may be given to the Little Pine Church of the Brethren.
