Aaron "Bud" Jobe, 85, of Kingsland, Texas, died Sunday (Oct. 24, 1993) at Kingsland Care Center. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Carlsbad Cemetery with the Masonic Lodge officiating. A Lodge of Sorrow is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge.

Local arrangements are being made by Denton Funeral Home.

Jobe was born Jan. 17, 1908, in Jack County, Texas, and lived in Bisbee, Ariz., before coming to Carlsbad in 1948. He worked in the copper mines in Arizona and then for Potash Corporation of America for more than 20 years before his retirement.

Jobe moved to Pecos, Texas, in 1989 and then to Kingsland in 1993. He was a member of Eddy Lodge No. 21 AF&AM and was Past Noble Grand. He was also a member of I.O.O.F.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie Jobe of Kingsland; two daughters, Geraldine Keely of Granite Shoals, Texas, and Annette Awbrey of Carlsbad; two brothers, Byron Jobe of Winters, Texas, and Ben Jobe of Ballinger, Texas; two sisters, Katherine Newson of Winters and Betty Jo Turnbow of Midland, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
