Garland, Texas -- A memorial mass was held May 30 for Carl T. Abrams, 74, of 3420 Rockcrest Drive, formerly of East Liverpool, who died May 27, 1988, at a hospital here following a lengthy illness. He was born in West Virginia Aug. 22, 1913, a son of the late Edward Abrams and Osa Allison Abrams. A resident of Garland 12 years, Mr. Abrams was a retired employee of the former Globe Brick Refractories Co. Survivors include his wife, Mary McLaughlin Abrams, at home; a son, Lester Abrams of Medina, Ohio, three daughters, Mary Ann Stone of Sugarland, Texas, Jane Alvarado of Dallas, Texas, and Anne Bakke of Laverne, Calif., a sister, Margaret Lones of East Liverpool, 11 grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the church or the American Cancer Society.
