The son of Howard Harrison Price and Martha Jane Thacker. He married Gertrude Grace Hellums. They had twelve children; Nina Grace, James Woodrow, Leonard Gordan, Bertha Leona, J. H. (Corky), William Howard (Bill), Ella Joyce, Edna Marie, Lilly Modet, Wanda Sue, Mary Ann and Johnie Lee Price.

Weatherford – Funeral services for John H. Price, 79, of Weatherford, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in Galbreath – Pickard Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery four miles west of here.
Price, a retired farmer, died Sunday in a Weatherford hospital.
Survivors are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Crouch and Mrs. Johnnie Keller of Weatherford, Mrs. Wanda Meissner of Fort Worth, Mrs. Edna Clayton of Snyder and Mrs. Dorothy Martin of Pleasanton, California; three sons, Leonard Price of Goldthwaite, J. H. Price of Killeen and Bill Price of Lee Hall, Virginia; 34 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Note - Dorothy is listed as a daughter, but is actually a granddaughter, her mother was Nina Grace Price who died when Dorothy was young.
