Mr. Tom Walker, one of the oldest citizens of Jackson Parish, was laid to rest in the Ebenezer Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Mr. Walker, a prominent citizen of that section, was 82 years of age. He had been in poor health for some time but his sudden passing at 5 a.m. Saturday, October 31, was not expected at that time.

He is survived by the following children: Franklin, Sanders, William, Jefferson, and Ira, Misses Emma, Novella, and Maggie. One brother, Mr. E. Walker of Dodson, and a sister, Mrs. William Eldredge.
