Mrs H A Ligon
Spartanburg, Jan 10--After an illness of several months, Mrs H A Ligon, wife of Dr H A Ligon, president of the American National Bank, died at the family residence on East Main street at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs Ligon had been critically ill for a month and her death was not unexpected, although it shocked the many friends of the family all over the state. Mrs Ligon, nee Miss Lucie Reed of Anderson, and Dr H A Ligon were married about 38 years ago and have been residents of Spartanburg for many years. Mrs Ligon is survived by two sons and two daughters as follows: H A Ligon, Jr and W P Ligon, of this city, Mrs F H Cunningham of Greenville, and Mrs Hal Gibbons of Richmond, Va, all of whom have been at Mrs Ligon's bedside for some days.
