Two Killed, One Hurt in Early Morning Fire

KILGORE, Texas, May 6.—Charred walls of the Plaza Hotel, in which two men were killed and a woman was seriously injured early Monday when fire destroyed a two-story building.
Glenn Hassett, 44, local building contractor who was seen trying to escape from a second-floor window, collapsed and was burned to death before firemen could reach him.
Bill Hughes, 23, taxi driver, was found dead in the ruins.
Juanita Power, barber, was hurt when she jumped from a second-floor window to the pavement.
The hotel, a café, a grocery and a clothing store were destroyed by the flames.
