Funeral services for Dephana F. (Beeby) Dishman, 88, of Marshall, Okla. will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Marshall Christian Church. The casket will be closed during the services. Burial will follow in the North I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Dephana died Dec. 9, 1999 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, Okla. She was born March 16, 1911, the 10th child of C. George and Jessie (Brown) Beeby. Dephana was baptized at the age of 12 at the Marshall Christian Church. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1929, and has been a member of the Marshall Rebekah Lodge No. 196 since the age of 18.
Dephana and Glen O. Dishman were married Sept. 21, 1932 at the home of Dr. Wilford E. Powell in Enid, Okla. They were the owners of several businesses over the years. In 1969, they purchased the Marshall Drug Store. After Glen's death on April 30, 1969, Dephana continued to operate the store until she retired in July 1981. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1929.
Dephana is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Donna Crossfield of Marshall and Glenna and George Streetman of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Fern Seefeldt of Stillwater and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Marshall Christian Church.
Friends may call at Abernathy Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. The casket will be open at the church until service time, closed after service.
