LONG SUFFERING ENDS
CHARLES H. TOMLINSON, CIVIL WAR VETERAN, DIED THIS MORNING.
Charles H. Tomlinson, 74 died at the home of his daughter Mrs. James Sizer, 2319 South I street, this morning at 5 o'clock, after a long illness.
He had suffered from a cancer of the ear and head, an ailment which was pronounced incurable.
Mr. Tomlinson was born in Scott Co., Ky., October 18, 1845, and was a member of Company G, 53rd Kentucky infantry in the war of rebellion.
He was married to Adina Spencer Aug. 30, 1871 and is survived by ten of the eleven children who were born to them. For several months past he had made his home with his daughter here.
The body was removed today to the Winings & York chapel and prepared for burial and will later be returned to the home. The time for the funeral services has not been announced but they will likely be held Sunday.
