Aneta Watkins, 66, of Senatobia, died Saturday, July 20 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Ms. Watkins was the former manager of Burke's Florist in Memphis, owner of Aneta's Florist for 20 years in Memphis, member of Broadway Baptist Church in Olive Branch for 60 years, and a member of Oakridge Baptist Church in Denison, Texas since 1993. Services were held Tuesday, July 23 at C.O. Pate Funeral Home in Senatobia with interment in Bethesda Cemetery in Senatobia. Pallbearers were Charlie Pollard, Jim Pollard, Leonard Walkins, Larry Hearn, Glenn Lamb, and Ben Cole. David Caldwell officiated.
Ms. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband, Brody E. Watkins. She is survived by one daughter, Nellie Guile of Denison, Texas; one son, Leonard Watkins of New Baden, Ill.; four grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren
