Entered Notre Dame Convent on October 30th, 1868

Professed: August 22, 1872, Sister Mary Gerasima

Final Vows: August 02, 1866

Buried: Convent Cemetery, Elm Grove Wisconsin

After her profession, Sister was sent to Hoka, Minnesota. Obedience subsequently missioned her to Canada for twelve years, and to Gilbertville Iowa. It was at the latter place that Sister suffered a sun stroke, which left her in poor health for some time. In 1904 Sister was recalled to Elm Grove and given charge of the cemetery, a duty which she performed faithfully until 1924.

While in good health Sister Gerasima was a peaceful, friendly person; even in her sickness she was devoted to prayer and was often heard to praying aloud when alone. On April 8, 1931, she slipped into eternity quietly. We are confident that she beheld face to face the smiling countenance of the good Lord and her Virgin Mother, for the love of whom she had renounced the world sixty-three years before.
