Mr. Herman P. Garms of 247 N. Brockway st,, Palatine, passed away at his home suddenly Wednesday morning, April 30, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 29 days.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Karstens Funeral Home at Arlington Heights and at 2:30 p.m. at the Palatine Lutheran church, Rev. Koester officiating; interment will be in the Palatine cemetery.

He was born January 1, 1870 in Palatine, received his education and was confirmed in the Palatine Lutheran school and church,

May 1, 1898 he was united in marriage to Miss Frieda Junge at Palatine by Rev. Droegemueller.

This couple have always made their home in Palatine and for the past 30 years at their present location.

Mr. Garms leaves to mourn his sudden departure, his loving wife, Frieda, and his aged mother, Mrs. Adolph Garms of Des Plaines; one sister, Mrs. William Wicke of Des Plaines, one brother, Mr. Fred Garms of Des Plaines; one sister-in- law; two brothers-in-law.
