Death notice in The Times, 14 July 1843, p. 8: On Tuesday last, the 11th inst., in her 57th year, after a short but most distressing illness, Catherine Mantell Lacy, the most affectionate wife of John DesChamps Lacy, Esq., of St. George's-place, Canterbury, daughter of the late Captain John Boyce, Hon. East India Company's service, Dover, and many years a resident of Sevenoaks, Kent, to the irreparable loss of her husband and numerous connexions.
