Parrish was a native of Tennessee and came to California during the year 1853. He had been a resident of Chico for over twenty-five years. At one time he conducted a lime kiln at Oroville.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Parrish; one daughter, Mrs. J.V. Decius of Marysville; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Cummins and Mrs. Emma Stanley of Tennessee, and two brothers, Isono Parrish and Harrison Parrish of Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock today at the Engel chapel.
