-Andrew Beaty, a former resident of this county, was a victim of a fatal accident at Spokeville, Clark county, a week ago Thursday. Beaty and Adren Markley, also from this county, were working in the woods and cut down a small tree, which in its falling, struck him in such a manner as to break his neck. B. F. Jewell, of this city, received a telegram on Friday conveying this sad news and he went to Spokeville and returned with the body, which was taken to Woodstock for burial. Mr. Beaty was about twenty-two years of age, a married man and leaves a wife [Bessie Belle Morgan] and two small children. His removal to his new home in the north had been very recent, having gone to Clark county a little over a month ago. The family wishes to express their thanks for the kind assistance of their friends during the dark hours of their bereavement.
