Graveside services for George Wenger, 77, of Davenport, are 1 p.m. Tuesday at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with military honors by American Legion Post 26.
George died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at home.
He was born July 31, 1931, in Pierre, S.D., to Sylvester and Ella Jane Wenger. He married Doris Brinkley in 1981. She died in 2001.
He retired from the Rock Island Arsenal.
Survivors are daughter, Susan Sprosty, Sandwich, Ill.; sister, Verda Housley, Davenport; brothers, Vern Wenger, Casper, Wyo., and Ted Wenger, Elgin, Ill.
