She was born August 10, 1914, in Mount Vernon to Charles and Esma (Hawkins) Bischoff. She was a Mansfield area homemaker most of her life. Eloise was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Ann "Petie" (Donald F.) West of Marion; and 2 grandchildren, Bradley R. West of Mansfield and Renee M. West of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Porter, on August 2, 1986; and a sister, Kathryn Bischoff.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, where funeral will be Monday at 10:30 .am. The Rev. Allen E. Rose will officiate. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
