David E. Enwall 62, Appleton, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010. The only son of Marie and Edward Enwall, he spent most of his life in Appleton graduating from Xavier High school. Dave worked for Miller Electric until his retirement. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a long time friend of Bill W. He touched many peoples heart, saving them from the control of addiction. He was an active member of N/A and AA and used his insight to help convicts in the drug offenders program. Many who say meeting David saved their life. David was married to Jill Long and they divorced in 1995, but remained friends.
He will be greatly missed by his four children: Cory (Lara) Enwall, NC; Bill Enwall, Milwaukee; Erik Enwall, NC and Spencer Enwall, Appleton, who took care of his father in his last months; a granddaughter, Skye Broenic; loving sister, Sharlene (Robert) Schvid, Appleton. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Bright.
Military Honors for David will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Valley Funeral Home followed by a memorial service. Friends may visit the family from 4:00 pm until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice and his sponsor Arne C. Davids life would seem short to many, but those touched by him know the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Pass it on.
