Scott is the 5th child of James Pleasant and Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Shinn Martin.
Married Elsie Lorena Loyd November 5, 1931 in Pope County.

Obituary:
Chester Scott Martin, aged 66, of Russellville, a retired farmer, died Friday at a Little Rock hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Russellville and was a member of the East Point Baptist Church here.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Loyd Martin; two sons, Arlis Glen Martin of Texarkana and Bobby Dean Martin of Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Spillers of Little Rock and Sue Etta Martin of the home and two grandchildren. All surviving is a brother, Clarence Martin of Russellville.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the East Point Baptist Church by Rev. W. O. McMillen, pastor, and Rev. Harold Clower, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Little Rock.

Pallbearers were Cecil O. Smith, O. L. Ware, A. E. Hattaway, Espie Martin, Earl Smith and Elmer Rickett.

Burial was in the East Point Cemetery by Shinn Funeral Service.
