Bessie M (Taylor) Barton, 73, died in Jacksonville, Illinois, where she had been a patient since the preceding Thursday after suffering a stroke at her home. Bessie was born November 8, 1882, in Cuba, Illinois, the daughter of Eva Marilla (Buffum) and George Taylor.
She was married to Samuel Benjamin Barton; and he preceded her in death February 10, 1943.
Bessie was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Waive Barton; and sons, Fay Alden Barton and John "Emmett" Barton, all of Jacksonville; and Kenneth Barton of Fort Scott, KS; and her three sisters, Aimee Aubrey, Eunice Keller, and Lola May Taylor, all living at Galesburg, IL.
