She had been ill only for a few days and death was unexpected.
She was the daughter of Stephen Northup and had lived for a number of years in Lafayette.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Franklin Brown and Mrs. Edwin Eccleston, both of West Wickford, six grand children and four sisters, Miss Amy Northup, Mrs Slocum Hall, Mrs. Clarke Gardiner, all of Lafayette, and Miss Harriet Northup.
Her funeral, which was private, was held from her late residence on Friday afternoon. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery.
