LELAND — Funeral services for Eliza Mae "Little Sis" Harris Gordon, 74, of Leland will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Leland High School Auditorium, Leland. She died Oct. 27, 2010, at Baptist Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Frye Funeral Home, Leland.

Mrs. Gordon was born March 21, 1936, in Grace, Miss. to the late Bertha Harris and Jack Hammer. In November 1958, she married Richard Gordon Jr. who preceded her in death in April of 2003.

Eliza was a retired custodian worker for the Leland Public School. She devoted her heart and soul to her family and friends. She was a friend to all who knew her and a very special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Shirley Harris, who raised her as a daughter; all of her uncles; aunts; two children; and a host of other relatives.

Eliza leaves to cherish her memories: five sons, Harvey (Ruby) Gordon of Starkville, Roy (Jackie) Gordon, Earl Gordon of Leland, Alfred (Lanita Roberts) of Greenville and Darren Gordon of Glendale, Calif.; three daughters, Velma (William Ray) Johnson, Gloria (Micheal) Williams and Evelyn (Darnell) Murray, all of Leland; two special stepsons, Danny and Stanley Corbin of Greenville; one special aunt, Mary Jean Harris of Leland; six special cousins, Julia Mae Harris of Chicago, Ill., Doreatha (Bobbie) Joe Warton and Jerry (Sarah) Harris, all of St. Louis, Mo., Christie (the Rev. Willie Harris) of Los Angeles, Calif., Willie C. Byrd and Willie B. Springfield, both of Greenville; a special sister-in-law, Ella Mae (Bob) Field; two brother-in-laws, Nathanial (Nancy) Gordon and Virlee Gordon, all of Chicago, Ill.; one special grandchild whom she raised, Rayshundra Robinson of Orlando, Fla.; 15 other grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a special friend girl, Jesse Womley of Leland; one male friend, Sonny (Jesse Jackson) of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The body will lie in state from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the Leland High School Auditorium.

The Rev. Eddie Jefferson will officiate.
