From History of Maries Co, MO by Everett M. King: "Mathew William Kinsey, oldest son of Thomas Junior, was married in 1851 to Margaret, daughter of Samuel Burchard. She was born in Gasconade County August 21, 1831. William Kinsey was a partner in the Pay Down store with his father, but upon the latter's removal to Knobview he quit the mercantile business and thereafter engaged in farming on a large tract of land he owned at present High Gate, which was named after a suburb of London with which the family was familiar. Here he lived until his death January 4, 1892. He held several county offices, including several terms as County Judge, and was in all respects the leading citizen of the east end of the county. His old home is still owned by his descendants, having been owned by the Kinsey family for nearly a hundred years. His wife survived him until January 15, 1909".
