Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth (Susie) Ahlers, 68, St. Henry, will be held today (Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Henry Catechetical Center. Rev Joseph Hoying will be the celebrant and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ahle rs died Monday around 9 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Coldwater. She had been ailing for the past nine months and was seriously ill with complications for two weeks. Born in Philothea September 27, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Be rnard and Anna Langenhoff Uppenkamp. She married Edward Ahlers August 18, 1926 and he died in 1957. Survivors include five children, Edward Ahlers Jr., Burkettsville; Mrs. Lester (Betty Lou) Buening, St. Henry; Mrs. Albert (Betty Jane) Buening , Coldwater; Mrs. Gerald (Armella) Yaklin, Riviera, Texas and David Ahlers, St. Henry; two brothers, Aloys Uppenkamp, Botkins and Leo Uppenkamp, Wapakoneta; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Philomena) Luken, Coldwater; and Mrs. Marie Klokovits, Sidney ; 20 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One son and one sister are deceased. Mrs. Ahlers was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers' Sodality. Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, has charge of the arrangem ents.
