Larry Meldon Jaques was born August 24 ,1956 to Charles and Marilyn Rogers Jaques at Riverton, Wyoming. He passed away January 4, 2008 at Lincoln Community Nursing Home at the age of 51.
Larry started first grade at the Arriba School and from there his family moved to Gary,Colorado. From Gary, Larry and his family moved to Cortez,Colorado where they were in the ministry at the Church of the Nazarene. Fron there they moved to Popular, Montana and on to Wheatland, Wyoming
following God's call.
Larry was born legally blind but this did not stop him from doing the many things he loved. At a young age Larry worked with his Dad at Poplar Montana Hospital and Nursing Home before school and he also opened and ran a T.V. and
electrical sales and repair shop which he ran after school.
Larry had to close his shop when his family moved to
Wheatland, Wyoming where he went to a Special Education
School for the blind. Larry later on decided it was time to move on, with his family still in Wyoming he moved back to Arriba where he proceeded to build him a home with little help from others.
Larry had lots of interests and some included putting puzzles together, framing them and giving them to family and friends. He also enjoed his garden and yard.
Larry also enjoyed working with electrical equipment. When the C. B.'s were popular Larry could be heard talking to truckers or anyone who had a C.B. telling them what they would like to know. When the C.B.'s quit the airways for for cellular phones, he traded in his C.B. equipment
for a police scanner. Larry was always faithful to call and tell us where the fire was , how the roads were and
yes even where the Tornados had been spotted.
Larry opened and ran a Video Shop and a radio station from
his home in Arriba for awhile before other video shops opened in town and the T.V.'s took over the airways so
strong with Satalite Dishes.
Larry also loved music and for awhile when his health allowed he played with the Kuzins Band and loved to get
dressed up and act out parts. Larry was also faithful to
lending a hand when called upon. If he said he would there
you could depend on him to be there. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Larry as a young man gave his heart to the Lord and was faithful in the Nazarene Church helping his dad where he could with music or video taping a program or anywhere he was needed. But with some bad choices, he found other interests. But the Lord is faithful and gave Larry another
chance to accept the Lord and on December 20,2007 with
family beside his bed Larry give his heart to the Lord and accepted Jesus as his personal Saviour.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn on June 29,2005. Larry is survived by his Dad Rev. Charles Jaques
and step-mom Doris Jaques of Arriba,Colorado. Three brothers, Jimmy Charles Jaques of Laramie, Wyoming, Tony
Miles Jaques and Dolly Gonzales of Larmie, Wyoming,
