Percy E. Thayer, son of Ernest and Effie Thayer, was born November 16, 1893 at Greeley. He departed this life, July 21, 1970 at the Howard County Community Hospital at the age of 76 years, 8 months and five days.
On March 29, 1922 he was married to Mamie Worm at Greeley. They farmed in the Logan community until March of 1953 when they retired in Wolbach.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Mamie of Wolbach, three daughters: Mrs. Alberta Studley of Greeley, Mrs. Marie Dickey of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Norma Merchant of St. Paul; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Nelson and Mrs. Vina Kraft, both of Wolbach; three brothers, Clarence and Ernest of Wolbach and Bert of Greeley; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
