From The Wolbach Messenger, Wolbach, Nebraska, Thursday, July 8, 1915, transcribed by Linda Berney:

Don P. Terry was born in Illinois on September 13th, 1850 and died June 25th, 1915, being 64 years, 9 months and 12 days old. At an early day he moved with his parents to Waverly, Iowa where he grew to manhood.

On August 4th, 1871, he was united in marriage to Anabelle Sams of that place, after which he lived in various places in Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, until 1892 when he came to Nebraska where he has resided since, and from 1900 at Wolbach where two and a half years ago he buried his wife.

Eight children were born to this union all of whom are living, namely: Mrs. W. R. Evans of Broadwater, Ed R. and Lee Terry of Bridgeport, C.A. Terry and Mrs. B. M. Kellog of St. Paul, Frank Terry of Filley and O. W. and Earl Terry of Wolbach.

Mr. Terry had a stroke of apoplexy three years ago and has been in very poor health ever since. A short time ago he went to Filley to visit his son Frank, and while there on the 10th day of June suffered another stroke which proved fatal.

Besides his children, four sisters and four brothers survive him. The hearts of the children are made sad by the loss of a kind father.

Card of Thanks – We wish to thank our kind friends for their sympathy and help in the burial of our father.
O. W. Terry, Earl Terry.
