Drinka, Norma R. (1 August 1931 - 19, February 1968)

Abbotsford - Mrs. John Drinka, 36, route 1, Abbotsford, died early this morning at her home. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here with the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating. Burial will be made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

The body will repose at the Polnaszek Funeral Home from noon Tuesday until the time of services. There will be a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday and an Altar Society rosary at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The former Norma R. Murphy was born Aug. 1, 1931, in the Town of Mayville, and received her education at Owen and at the Taylor County College in Medford. Her marriage to John Drinka took place May 26, 1950, at Dorchester.

Since 1955, the couple had resided on a farm at route 1, Abbotsford.

Mrs. Drinka was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

In addition to her husband survivors are 11 children, Michael, Susan, Margaret, Mildred, Sandra, Robert, Gerald, James, Catherine, Donald and Richard, all at home; her father, Roy Murphy, route 2, Owen; seven sisters, Mrs. Bernard (June) Clouse, Loyal; Mrs. Bernard (Helen) Eron, Neillsville; Mrs. Kenneth (Velda) Schulte, Zumbrota, Minn.; Mrs. Duane (Patricia) Pecher, Abbotsford; Mrs. Edward (Thelma) Burzezinski, Krakow, Wis., Mrs. Arvin (Eleanor) Languar, Unity; Mrs. Clemence (Grace) Pecher, Marshfield; and a brother, Clifford Murphy, Warren, Mich.

Her mother preceded her in death.
