Susan (Susie) Irene Louise King, daughter of Amos Andrew and Mary Louise (Banzet) King, was born March 4, 1902 in Labette County, near Edna, Kansas. The family moved to a farm near Ash Flat, Arkansas about 1908. Susan and Forrest Martin were married August 21, 1921 in Stockton, Kansas. Susan was the mother of Doyne, Billie (Bill), Jesse Donald, Robert (Bob), Warren, Carmelita, Carolyn, Linda, and Gary. Susan was a member of the Ash Flat Church of Christ. She died December 15, 1988, at the age of 86.
