VERIFIED MTDNA: HVO-T195C! via direct testing of 3 matrilineal descendants
This is based upon testing of direct matrilineal descendants of ᎨᏘ
for highest accuracy results, testing was completed through FtDNA

Furthermore, documentation from a descendant who personally knew Matilda Hatfield (Daughter of Katie) was obtained and verified through primary sources.

Upon the family's move to Tennessee from Oklahoma, the daughters of ᎨᏘ heard her remark, "Even the sun out there [in OK] was hateful"

ᎨᏘ was a devoted mother. In addition to her biological children,
Katie reared Allie - Allie was the illegitimate daughter of her husband, displaying grace and mercy despite the obviously difficult circumstances.
Ge-ti (ᎨᏘ) suffered from paralysis and was in a wheel chair.
She taught Lizzie to cook and especially to bake starting with biscuits. My daughter and I interviewed Lizzie for information about ᎨᏘ.
Demure and longsuffering, she did not complain even when her husband John Hatfield threw her and her wheelchair off the side of a steep hill when he was frustrated with her.
Her husband died in Okmulgee, OK and is buried there.
She went to Illinois with her family and is buried there.
ᎨᏘ is the daughter of

John Shadrach 1835-1915

Martha Hatfield 1835-1891
