Dennis Thompson Fear, 54, of 1414 Oakland Rd. NE, died Sunday, March 19, 2000, in his home, following a short illness. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, by Pastors John Fear and James Noethe. Burial: Hopkinton Cemetery, Hopkinton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Survivors include a brother, Lynn Alan Fear Sr. of Cedar Rapids; nieces and nephews, Christine and Phil Santaguida of Highland, Ind., Alan and Kathleen Fear of Coralville and John Fear of Cedar Rapids; and a great-niece, Holly Santaguida of Highland, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Fear.

He was born June 14, 1945, in Monticello, Iowa, to Albert Thompson and Lola Mae Brown Fear. Dennis grew up in Hopkinton, Iowa, and attended the Maquoketa Valley School District. For more than 35 years, he was a custodian for the Cedar Rapids School District.

A memorial fund has been established.
