Willey Funeral Here Monday
Funeral services for Othel Willey, 86, of 2517 11th Street, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the McKown Funeral chapel with the Rev. J. Alan Justad officiating. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the McKown chapel after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Willey died Friday at the Hoffmeister nursing home in Genoa after a months illness. Residing in Columbus the past 21 years, he had worked as a laborer.
He was born at Stanton March 24, 1875 and received his education there. His parents were Henry and Rebecca Reed Willey.
On Feb. 13, 1941 he married Sarah Staggs, and she preceded him in death April 24, 1960. His parents, three brothers and two sisters are also deceased.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Mitchell of Atkinson and Mrs. Maude Manning of Vancouver, Washington.
He was previously married to Mary Bock of Columbus, NE. She predeceased him in 1934.
