Leola Chaumont Parks, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, in Springerville. She was born April 6, 1924, in Oberlin, La. to Aurelien Clay Chaumont and Daah Fruge.
Lee was a postmaster on the Blue for 12 years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. She was an active member of The Blue River Cowbelles.
Lee is survived by brothers A.C. Chaumont, Bill Chaumont, sisters Alice Granger, Ann Ward, Ladora Bell and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, John W. Parks, sisters Lenora LeJeune, Leta Manuel, brothers, C.J. Chaumont, Jim Chaumont, Joseph Chaumont and Shelton Chaumont.
A viewing was held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar with a rosary at 3 p.m.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Nov. 13, at at the Blue Cemetery.
