JAMEY COWAN, born in Tampa, Florida on March 31, 1954, passed away on June 11,
2010, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.He worked as a butcher in
Tomball for 27 years and became a product specialist for Glazier Foods, where he
was respected and loved for his work ethic, sense of humor, and generous
nature.He was preceded in death by parents Marion Walden Cowan and James Lynn
Cowan. He is survived by devoted wife Beverly, loving children Jerry Cowan and
wife Shay, Becky Stockman and husband Les, Laura Been and husband Ryan,
stepchildren Allen Hafer, Lisa Castro and husband Steve, grandchildren Riley
Cowan and Skyler Gilliam, Emilee and Jaimee Lynn Stockman, Bailey Been, Nicole
Hafer Mounce and husband Jared, Hailey Hafer, and Bryan, Matthew, and Daniel
Castro. He will be dearly missed by brothers and sisters, Steve Cowan and wife
Jeanette, Rick Cowan and wife Jan, Susan Schindewolf and husband Don, Peggy
Condon and husband Georges, Mary Piehl and husband Vernon, Mark Garrett, his
uncle Wayne Walden, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.His family deeply
appreciates the compassion and constant support from Glazier Foods and his
loving co-workers, medical staffs at Methodist Hospital and Houston Hospice, and
so many caring friends.Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2010, from 5:00 to
8:00 pm, and services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Klein
Funeral Home in Tomball, Pastor Charles S. Mallie officiating. Pallbearers are
Ronnie Buegeler, Jason Boldt, Marvin Weinberg, Jay Oldham, Russell Robinson, and
Lee Cummings; Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Schultz and Roger Collins.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to www.pancreatica.org or Houston
Hospice.
