78 years old; the first district attorney in Louisiana when she was appointed second district attorney assistant of the first judicial district in January 1924. Nancy passed the bar becoming Shreveport's leading lady attorney in 1916. She lived in the rooming house of Grace Johnson in 1917, becoming one of several interesting people residing in the home of the former B. M. Johnson. The Shreveport Times ran an article on the inhabitants on 21 Dec 1917. Nancy was also very involved in the suffragette movement to secure voting and election rights for women.
