Vera Evelyn Roe Siegfried Park, 83, of Idaho Falls, died at EIRMC of complications from cancer.

She was born May 13, 1921 in Stone, Idaho near the Utah-Idaho border, to Harold Roe and Vera Jane Warner Roe. She grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from high school there in 1939.

On August 31, 1938, she married Fred Siegfried in American Falls. They were later divorced. On October 4, 1950 she married David Park in Swan Valley. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 13, 1969.

After living in Stone and Aberdeen, Idaho she moved to Idaho Falls in 1948. She worked for Hometown Restaurant and then Snowballs where she met David Park. After their marriage, they worked together in the Spudnut Shop and sold Spudnuts door to door. In 1952, they moved to Palisades, where her husband worked on the dam until its completion. They returned to Idaho Falls in the fall of 1954 to live. David passed away in 1994.

She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught Primary, held many Relief Society positions, was a Sunday school teacher, did Spanish extraction work at the Genealogy Library, and was a temple worker.

For many years she worked at the Bonneville County election polls. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, flowers, gardening, and she had a great love for her grandchildren.

Evelyn was always thinking of others before herself and was always helping others regardless of the need. She took people wherever they needed to go and she had a great compassion for everyone. She never said anything bad about anyone. She is survived by the following: daughter, Naomi (Lee) Mangum of Atomic City, Idaho; daughter, Diana (Roy) Gibson of Idaho Falls; son Frederick Siegfried of Bickleton, Washington; son David Park of Idaho Falls; son, Harold (Sonya) Park of Ucon; 22 grandchildren; and 55 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Welch of American Falls, Floretta (Dennis) Howell of Pocatello, Barbara (Virl) Nash of Aberdeen, Lucille Childs of Salt Lake City, Alice (Verl) Behrman of West Jordan, Utah, Florence Ann Lewis of Valley Springs, California; brother, Lemoyne Johnston of Idaho Falls.
