Lottie Lee Fristoe, 92, of Front Royal, Virginia, died on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Fristoe was born September 23, 1918 in Rockingham County, VA, daughter of the late Oscar and Annie Morris Collier. She retired from the coning department at FMC. Mrs. Fristoe was a lifelong member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Jolly 60's and Rivermont Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband Scott B Shifflett and second husband Atley Leon Fristoe.
Surviving are her children Anna L. Raber of Marietta, PA, Howard C. Boyers and wife Elaine of Hanover, PA, John E. Boyers and wife Janet of York, PA, Linda LeHew of Front Royal, James R. Shifflett and wife Nina of Harrisonburg, VA, and Bruce A. Shifflett of Richmond, VA; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son George W. Boyers.
While not mentioned in her published obituary, Lottie Lee Collier was married to Howard Clifford Boyers for thirteen from 1933 to 1946. Together, they had five minor children at the time of their divorce. He died in Pennsylvania in 1965.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Boyers, Richard Raber, Shawn Boyers, Bill Deck, Michael LeHew, and Marty LeHew.
Honorary pallbearers will be Reed Nicholson, Ernest Wine, Giles Darr, Gene and Jolissa Mathews, Chris Hockman, and Nora Gibbings.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
