FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN IDAHO

Relatives in this community have received word of the death of Mrs. Leanore (Allyn) Floyd, about 36, which took place Sunday at the Boise, Idaho. The deceased is a former resident of Lewis and the daughter of Gladys Burkhalter Allyn.

Local relatives include two aunts, Mrs. Madge Peters of Lewis and Mrs. Zeta Willoughby of Griswold.

Mrs. Madge Peters went to Boise, Idaho to be with her niece, Mrs. Ted Floyd, who was in hospital.

FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN IDAHO

Helen Leanore, daughter of Harry W. and Gladys Burkhalter Allyn, was born in Boise, Idaho, December 2, 1930 and passed away in Boise, Idaho, March 26, 1967 after a prolonged illness. She attended grade school in Lewis, Iowa. In 1945 she moved to Jerome, Idaho and graduated from high school in 1948. She attended Boise junior college and graduated from there in 1950. She taught four years in the Jerome grade school. In 1954 she went to Las Vegas, Nevada, and taught several years until her health failed.

In 1955 she was married to Francis E. Floyd, who with a daughter, Mary Gail, survive. She is also survived by her mother of Jerome, Idaho.

She was an active member of the First Christian church and former member of the Lewis Church of Christ.

Jerome, Funeral services for Mrs Helen Leanore Floyd will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at the Christian church by Rev Harold Livingston. Friends may call at the Wiley Funeral Chapel from 4 pm Wednesday until time of services Thursday. last rites will be held in the Whipple Cemetery near Lewis, Iowa. The family suggests memorial contributions to the organ fund of the First Christian Church.
