Boyd Biggers, 74, retired vice president and trust officer at Citizens National Bank and a former chairman of the Cabarrus County Board of Education, died Saturday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church where he held his membership with Dr. Robert W. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The body will reamin at Hartsell Funeral Home until the funeral hour and the family will receive at the residence, 21 Washington Lane, SE.
Mr. Biggers joined Citizens National Bank on Nov. 8, 1920, and served as a clerk, teller, assistant cashier, cashier, assistant trust officer, vice-president, and was serving as a senior vice-president and trust officer when he retired.
A native of Union County, Mr. Biggers was born July 2, 1901, son of the late R. B. and Retta Love Biggers.
His wife, Mrs. sara Miller Biggers, preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Roe Borwn of Concord; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Griggs of Charlotte; and three grand-children.
