Funeral services were held today (Thursday, October 11th) for Andrew Nelson, 76, prominent farmer of this community for over 40 years, who passed away Monday at a Grand Island hospital, after a lingering illness.
Mr. Nelson was born January 27, 1880 in Denmark, and departed this life October 8, 1956. He married Louise Kosloski June 1, 1909 at Blair, Nebraska. Following their marriage, they purchased a farm near Wolbach where they lived until his death.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife; two sons, George of Omaha and Harold of Denver; 3 daughters, Mrs. Irene Hanners of Denver, Mrs. Helen Haggstrom and Mrs. Mildred Gillham of Wolbach; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother and a sister.
