Our loved father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend, Norman Gene Ainscough, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his family on October 31, 2010.

Norman Gene was born March 10, 1928 in Preston, Idaho to Charles Owen and Marguerite Dalley Ainscough.

He married Anna Sedgwick on April 9, 1959. Norman graduated from Utah State and worked as an elementary school teacher. He also spent summers working at several other jobs.

He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served two missions to England, one as a young man and then again with his wife Anna. He served in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples.

He also served in various callings in the church with his greatest love and joy being scouting. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. He loved his family, woodwork, nature, fixing, and fussing. He had a special place in his heart for his mother and grandmother Dalley.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Owen. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Anna Ainscough, children John (Roseann) Ainscough (son of Norman Gene and Esther Phelps), Richard (Kathy), Annette, David (Tina), Susan Carter, grandchildren, Thomas, Benjamin, Sarah, Amanda (Adam), Jessica, Allison, Christopher, Emily, and Bryan, brother Doug and sisters Marilyn, Anna Lou, Joan, Carol, and Maxine.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful Fourth Ward Chapel, 102 East 1400 South. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, and Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the services.
Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park.
