Mortuary Matters.

Mr. Albert Sager died at his residence in Westport at 7 o'clock last evening. Only two weeks ago his father, one of the oldest settlers in Jackson, passed away.

Death of Albert Sager.

Albert Sager died at his home near Westport, last night from an attack of brain fever. The deceased was a son of Henry Sager the Westport pioneer whose death occurred quite recently. Albert Sager was 30 years old.

Albert's wife, commonly known as Julia Emmons Sager (b. about 1855, Missouri), apparently remained in Kansas City (per city directory entries through 1908 and the 1900 Federal census tract) for many years after Albert's death. In 1900, she owned her own home, free and clear, at 3924 Washington Street, and lived with her children Marie Sager (age 19), Sayde Sager (age 16), and Albert Henry Sager (age 15).
She is later documented as living with her only surviving son, Albert Henry Sager, in Seattle, King County, Washington (see below). Unable to determine date and place of death or burial location for Julia.

Sayde Sager McLean

• Albert Henry Sager, b. 1 Apr 1885, Westport, Jackson County, Missouri
1910 Federal Census shows him, at age 25 and single on 15 Apr 1910, living as a lodger at 1711 Belleview, Seattle, King County, Washington, and working as a lumberyard agent. His draft registration in Sep 1918 shows him, at age 33, living with his mother at 905 Boyleton, Seattle, and working as a purchasing agent.
Single and aged 34 on 1 Jan 1920, he lives with his widowed mother and several other families at 1620 13th Avenue and works in the lumber business. On 1 Apr 1930, the two rent ($25/mo) at 1141 28th Avenue and he works as a salesman.
Washington State death record abstract show his death on 28 Mar 1933 in Seattle, King County, Washington. Place of burial or other disposition of remains is unknown.
